"OLD BESSY"
The late Frank Hewko, a long time volunteer firefighter and information officer with the Vegreville Fire Department was the person responsible for organizing, supervising and overhauling the antique fire truck that is proudly displayed in the Emergency Services Building. Frank, along with Orville Tebbutt, Henry Hohl,, Ron Hnydyk and many other volunteer firefighters, spent a great deal of time on restoring and upgrading the truck, so everyone then (and now) can enjoy its history. Pictures of this truck have been published in national Firefighter Magazines.
