To all the Alberta Volunteer Fire Departments, the Vegreville Fire Department would like to formally notify you that we will be hosting the 2009 Provincial Hose Coupling Competition. This is an exciting year for us as we celebrate 100 years as a fire department. This competition, as well as other centenial events, are being planned throughout 2009 to include not only local community supporters of today but also past Vegreville Fire Department membership along with their families.

This competition on its own has been a part of firefighting tradition and comraderie for over 50 years developing its own history. We feel it is a perfect addition to our special year and truly look forward to your participation enabling it to be a well attended and well remembered event.

Detailed information will be sent out to you in May outlining this special occasion; please note that the date has been set for Saturday, August 15, 2009.

The Vegreville Fire Department would be honoured to have your Department's presence at this years hose coupling competition during our centennial year celebration. We ask that you mark this on your calendar and join us for this wonderful event.
