Alberta Fire Bans

The Vegreville Fire Department was formed in 1909 and has maintained a strong tie to the community ever since.  The Town of Vegreville is located on the Yellowhead Trans Canada Highway (16), 88 kms east of Edmonton, Alberta and 145 kms west of Lloydminster. The Town has a population of 5,834 and has a trading area of 13,000.  We operate out of the Vegreville Emergency Services Building which also incorporates the Vegreville EMS to which our department works in close conjunction with.

We also serve the County of Minburn which covers areas outside of the town limits. We are staffed with a fully volunteer department of 38 members.

Vision

To enhance the quality of life of the residents of Vegreville and surrounding area by embracing community interests, needs and concerns for a safe and healthy environment, and to protect and save lives.
