Public Relations is a big part of the VFD and we take pride in knowing that we are a very well respected organization in our community. If there is a need, we are usually there ready to help out. We have a Pancake Breakfast to kick off Fire Prevention Week in the Fall, as well as "The Spirit of Christmas" event at the end of November to showcase individual crafts and to support community clubs and organizations such as the Food Bank and Christmas Bureau.

We are involved in the Alberta Cancer Foundation with the "Short Cut For The Cure" Campaign, the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. of Canada, STARS, P.A.R.T.Y. Program, and many local groups.
