Gary, 46, joined the department in 1998. He was appointed Lieutenant in 2003 and Safety Officer in 2005, and is now promoted to Captain of Crew "C".  Gary's favourite truck  is our Rescue Unit.  He enjoys being part of the rescue team.  He has numerous Fire/Rescue certifications, also an EMR.  Gary was part of the 2004 and 2005 Provincial Hose Coupling Championship Team.  He also received top score in the Emergency Driver Training Course. 

Gary is married to Sherrie, he has one son, Greg and one daughter, Chelsea.  Gary enjoys playing hockey, watching his children involved in sports, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He is always interested in looking for, and trying new things.  "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional."
