Chief Jerrold Lemko
Jerrold, 52, has been on the Vegreville Fire Department since 1990, and was promoted to Fire Chief in 1998. His favorite truck in the department is our Command unit, in which he directs the troops with great confidence. Jerrold has received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal of Honour, and the Alberta Service Medal. He has also received Vegreville's Volunteer of the Year and in 2005, Jerrold was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal for contribution to Sport in Alberta and the 2005 Stars of the Millenium Award from the Wild Rose Foundation. Jerrold was named VFD's Employee of the Year for 2007.
Jerrold is married to Anita, and has two sons, Johnathon and Shawn (Sparky). His personal interests are the East Coast and he is very involved in Hockey Alberta and Hockey Canada. He is employed with Atco Electric Ltd. in Vegreville.
