Captain Phil Rowe, Fire Services Coordinator
Phil, 41, has been on the VFD since 1992, and is the Fire Services Coordinator & Public Education Officer. His favorite truck on the VFD is Engine #1 in the Officer's seat of course. Phil also has numerous fire/rescue courses under his belt including NFPA 1035 (Public Life Safety Educator) and NFPA 1041(Fire Services Instructor) and is a registered EMR. He is a member of the 2004 and 2005 Provincial Hose Coupling Champions and was awarded the VFD Employee of the Year in 2004.
Phil has one daughter Jenna (13) and one son Tyson (10), a wonderful girlfriend Tina and her son Ryan (14). His interests include Hockey, Hockey, Hockey….and quadding, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. Phil is heavily involved with his kids including coaching and loves spending time with his family. “ I love being a part of my kids lives and their daily activities. Being a father doesn’t just mean you help your kids up when they fall…but guide them so they can avoid the fall next time.”
