Deputy Chief Chris Jardine

 

Chris, 36, has been with the VFD since February 2002. He was appointed full-time Fire Services Coordinator in July of 2006. Chris was promoted to Lieutenant in January 2009. On January 1st, 2010 Chris was appointed Emergency Services Assistant Manager and promoted to Deputy Chief. He is also the VFD Training Officer, assistant to our Fire Prevention Officer and is also one of our Safety Codes Officers.  His favourite truck and position is Engine #1 and Pump Operator. Chris has his NFPA 10-01 training, Fire Service Instructor Level 1 Part 2, is a Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor, a member of the Fire Investigation Association of Alberta and is a registered EMT. Other departments that Chris has been involved with were in Minnedosa, MB and McCreary, MB. Chris was a member of our 2004, 2005 and 2007 Provincial Hose Coupling Champions.

Chris is married to Barb and they have a daughter, Avery and a son, Dayne. He enjoys fishing, camping, curling and hanging out with friends.
